
This work was done in collaboration with MainStreet London as a part of Fanshawe Graphic Design’s ‘Design 4 Change’ capstone project.
MainStreet London is a non-profit downtown revitalization organization with a mission to help entrepreneurs transform great ideas into great businesses. MainStreet has the resources, knowledge, and supports to ensure your business can thrive in Downtown London. The goal of this project was to create a new brand and logo for MainStreet, to create an awareness campaign that
increases the target audience’s recognition of the brand, and to enhance MainStreet’s ability to grow the
business diversity of Downtown London.

PROCESS
My teammate Zach Kriz and I worked together to create a fresh, bright, accessible look that highlights MainStreet’s mission and dedication to the people of Downtown London. After conducting our initial research, we each began to develop original logo and branding concepts and together decided to move forward with Zach’s logo and my design concepts. Together we chose a teal green reminiscent of the old logo colours, now used in a refreshed and modern way. We used headlines I created that effectively communicate the organization’s goals, such as “Your Business is Our Mission.” I created an arrow-themed design based on the chevron shape hidden within the ‘M’ on Zach’s logo, representing MainStreet’s ability to help businesses move forward and up.

Zach and I worked together to create a new desktop site with the updated branding applied, as well as a mobile site prototype. I also had the opportunity to create a promotional video for the Non-Profit Organization using Adobe After Effects. I used original illustrations, graphics, cohesive imagery, and typography to deliver MainStreet's mission statement and services. I also recorded
my own voiceover for the video to ensure it sounded friendly and matched the brand's style.
