Goody is a magazine about all things food-related. It is an accessible keeper of easy recipes, budget-friendly ingredients, and an abundance of tips and tricks for success in the kitchen, no matter the skill level. This magazine features 12 pages of recipes, advertisements and articles all about fall comfort foods.

PROCESS
The feeling of this project had to be friendly and welcoming, as its target audience is the ‘home cook.’ Therefore, I designed around a vintage font called FreightBigCmp Pro that reminded me of my grandmother’s cookbooks. The nostalgia of being in the kitchen with my grandma and having fun with food was the exact mood I needed to bring to Goody. I cooked and photographed the feature dish of the issue myself, which got me into the ‘foodie’ mindset. I drew custom illustrations of cocktails and ingredients and added little ‘notes’ that resemble the notes my grandmother leaves in her cookbooks to add a helpful and relatable element to Goody. I also created a promotional video for Goody using footage of my best friend and I cooking the feature dish, which we completely devoured right after filming wrapped. With this, I created an E-Pub to feature the promo video.
